CORCAH PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE |
|
CORCAH Partnership Initiative envisions all stakeholders —including governments, national, regional and international organization representatives, business leaders, civil society groups, workforce development agencies, academics and private sector representatives around the world — developing a quantitative analysis approach to empower people by identifying issues, providing resources , sharing knowledge through advanced technology, building capacity, forging partnerships in the public and private sectors system, solving real problems, and analyzing the results. The Committee of Relief and Cooperation for the Advancement of Haiti (CORCAH) is willing to support a country’s agenda. Our experts are ready to analyze and resolve complex institutional issues like strengthening the education and health policies, promoting sustainable economic growth, and addressing weaknesses in governance, public expenditure management and public financial accountability. Metrics and Long-term Focus: We use a quantitative approach. We spell out the understanding between the donor and the recipient about the types of key measures that would be critical for making progress toward the country’s goals—a pragmatic mix of outcomes, indicators, specific actions, maybe strategies. We measure our success not by the total amount raised, but by our ability to translate these funds into tangible improvements in the everyday lives of our stakeholders. We must be realistic. The challenges facing Haiti are enormous. Fostering partnerships is not only better but essential to improving community services, promoting sustainable economic growth, and reducing poverty. Through partnerships, we demonstrate how technology has benefited education programs, and guide stakeholders toward useful resources. Our website gives people easy access to research, journals and a list of websites useful to education, economic and financial information, activities, and professional organizations. Moving Forward: The beginning of a long and challenging journeyThe challenges facing Haiti are enormous. Financial resources alone are, however, not sufficient. The way in which the financial resources are translated into actions and programs will be the key to the outcome of our efforts. Economic development will necessitate building the capacity of local institutions and systems. Civil Society must be mobilized. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are a vital source of resources and their participation should be very strongly encouraged and also very generously given. Our cooperation to developing countries can be measured by the work of consultants and technicians, by building up professional capabilities, and also by using advanced technology to develop the set of decisions and actions that shall result in the design and activation of strategies to achieve objectives. We have a leadership team, made of experts in the fields of health, agriculture, finance and economic development to develop strategies, and identify the focal points for the prompt implementation of initiatives. We are keen to continue working hand in hand with all stakeholders, including the civil society in Haiti, international agencies and national organizations. We built a common purpose, and focused on the future in setting clear and attainable goals. Members are encouraged to provide new ideas and approaches. We shared responsibility for decisions and actions, as well as for successes. We encouraged communication and participation, promoting a spirit of trust and cooperation. We are successful for a number of reasons. One of the main reasons is to ensure each partner has the opportunity and responsibility for meaningful contributions. Our members enjoy working with others and meeting new challenges. They enjoy the potential for professional and personal growth, as well as a sense of accomplishment. We are encouraging social interaction and building on the motivations.
