Commitment:

Our commitment is to make a positive difference in people’s lives. At CORCAH, we are working tirelessly to strengthen relationships, and most importantly, to foster partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations around the world.

We are committed to our objectives and professional goals without discrimination for any reason such as race, religion, age, sex, national origin, and physical or mental disability. We are proud to serve as a platform for consultative processes in the context of development programs. We establish a consistent mechanism for donor coordination and resource mobilization for social and economic activities.

A successful partnership will be a success for all of us. And failure would be a lost opportunity for all. At CORCAH, we welcome the positive steps taken by both government and non-government organizations (NGO) in implementing a plan of action to fight poverty and improve the living standards of people. We provide knowledge sharing services to reduce poverty. We promote growth to empower people. We remain resolute in implementing programs to ensure a new and bright future. We are honored and happy to work with other parts of the international community to support the efforts of other relief organizations.

Key CORCAH Guiding Principles:

Membership: Our members are our reason for being.

Mutual respect: We respect individuals and value teamwork

Professionalism: Our decisions are based on our ethical standards of honesty, fairness and integrity.

Responsibility: Do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.

Empowerment: The CORCAH provides knowledge sharing services to empower people.

Confidence-building: The CORCAH encourages transparency, working closely with partners and helping to ensure good governance.

Collaboration and harmonization: The CORCAH encourages collaboration among key actors in order to harmonize approaches and achieve results.

Optimization of external assistance and effectiveness: The CORCAH seeks to assist in transforming the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by limiting financial risks and optimizing returns.

Operate as Partners: The CORCAH works closely with countries that receive assistance, identifying the greatest barriers to development, and developing effective programs for achieving development objectives.

Focus on Results:  The CORCAH assists in developing well-designed programs with clear objectives, benchmarks to measure progress, procedures to ensure fiscal accountability for the use of assistance.

Transparency: The CORCAH expects a high level of transparency in the financial and procurement management systems of national programs and special projects. We plan for effective monitoring and objective evaluation of results. Programs are designed to enable sustainable progress.

Governance: The CORCAH maintains a high degree of standards. Lessons learned from past assistance have given us a more solid basis for judging the effect of governance and corruption on development, and the effectiveness—or lack thereof—of strategies to improve it.  The importance of governance is so fundamental for development, as well as the ability to help countries improve on it.

Anti-Corruption: The CORCAH’s anti-corruption initiatives incorporate investigative and analytical approaches. We provide advice on how to improve service transparency and accountability. We help improve governance and reduce corruption - essential ingredients for better development and faster economic growth. Corruption is an impediment to growth and poverty reduction. We strongly argue against the "business-as-usual" modus operandi. At CORCAH, we use a quantitative approach through an analytical and operational work to reduce corruption by ensuring that proper financial controls and oversight are in place in selected projects.

Accountability: The CORCAH understands the need to grapple with questions of selectivity and effectiveness in aid programs. Aid is most effective when it reinforces sound economic and social policies. Countries themselves must take the lead in improving governance. Improving transparency is an essential key to encouraging the inflows of private capital. Our utmost goal is to assist in optimizing efficiency in program implementation.
