Natural resources Management

A main focus of CORCAH is the integrated natural resources management. We want to ensure that natural resources are protected. We work with regional, national and international organizations to make good natural resources management decisions.

Natural resources management is the practical application of ecosystem management, habitat conservation, and sustainable land management towards protecting, conserving, and using natural resources. The natural resources available to people for food and other production, maintaining healthy lives, and the pleasure of a beautiful landscape need to be protected, and must be managed skillfully so that they are able to maintain our basic ability to produce food for the nine billion people that the world is expected to have by 2050.

Fresh water supplies - essential for agricultural production, for drinking, for maintenance of important habitats of animals – are projected to be inadequate to meet the needs of one-third of the world’s population. More than 2 million children are estimated to die each year from diseases caused by drinking dirty water.

At CORCAH, we take an integrated approach to natural resources management. We are eager to work with partners to improve health, increase agricultural productivity, and protect the environment.
