Reef Relief and ecosystem management

CORCAH is looking for opportunities to enter into a partnership with regional, national and international organizations to develop resources in improving collaborative efforts in reef relief and ecosystem management. We expect that inter-organizational partnerships and multiparty collaboration will be an important feature of resource management in the 21st century. We hope CORCAH can serve to facilitate more effective collaboration.

To solve common problems and develop forward-thinking strategies for moving in a more sustainable direction, we invite government agencies, community groups, businesses, and private individuals to join us in order to work together. CORCAH can be an invaluable source of ideas and inspiration for nongovernmental organizations, and community groups searching for more productive modes of interaction.

We are committed to preserving and protecting Water and Coastal resources through local, regional and global efforts. Our utmost goal is to increase public awareness of the importance and value of living coral reef ecosystems while designing, developing and assisting in the implementation of a quantitative analysis approach. The success of our program will depend largely on our partners through collaborative approaches to management of the coral reef ecosystem.
For years CORCAH has been involved in Reef Relief and Ecosystem management. From experience, collaboration is an effective management tool even when cash for project implementation seems non existent. Our success is driven by cooperation.
Together we implemented beach clean up activities. We interacted with several groups of fishermen, as well as participation in traditional annual coral reef protection workshops. A similar relationship has been developed over the years with the tourism industry.

We plan to offer workshops for representatives of non government organizations and agencies throughout the region. Participation in these programs will offer leaders the opportunity to become part of an important supportive network. This type of networking is invaluable and also allows for sharing of resources.
